Advent bulletin announcements are needed by Wednesday noon.

Maureen Mengelt Memorial Day 5K Run, 12-5p. at Orfan Community Park in Sun Prairie, 2000 St. Albert Drive.
Registration forms are on the table in the back of the Blessing Room and on the bulletin board in the Shalom Room. All proceeds benefit local youth music and athletic programs.
OPALS Book Discussion Group
OPALS meetings are held once a month at 1:30 p. The May meeting will be at MCC, downstairs in the large youth room, on Tuesday, May 28. The book is Wench by Dolan Perkins Valdez, a novel based on history during the civil war days. Southern land owners took their favorite black slaves to a hotel in Ohio.

GEMS – The Grumpy Elderly Men!
GEMS will begin a discussion of Atoms and Eden: Conversations on Religion and Science. The book was edited by Steve Paulson from Wisconsin Public Radio. It is based on interviews with leading scientists, theologians, and serious thinkers on the relationship between science and religion. If you are interested in the topic, in fun conversation, and/or sharing coffee with an interesting group of older men, this is the group for you. We meet every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.
Advent Women Thursday Breakfast
Advent women are invited for coffee each Thursday at 7 a. at Panera Bread at 3461 University Ave. The only agenda is sharing friendship, and there is always laughter. We do service projects several times a year, pray for one another’s concerns, and celebrate joys. If you can be an early bird at least once a week, please drop by when your schedule allows!
